Personal Story
Chris was raised in a Christian home by a Christian mother in a Christian school at a Christian church. Everything in Chris’s life was Christian……..except for him. Unfortunately for him and for every person who has been raised in the church, the knowledge of Scriptural truths cannot save a person’s heart. Chris fell into a life of sin which drove him close to self-destruction. But as a seventeen year-old, Christ felt the tug of the Holy Spirit on his heart and surrendered his heart, soul, and life to Jesus Christ.
Chris attended and graduated from Liberty University and is officially a “Jerry’s Kid.” While serving as a middle-school teacher, he was called to the ministry while attending a summer camp in 2004 called GoTell Camp by Rick Gage. Chris became the youth pastor to the students at the local church where he was raised. After serving God for six years at his home church, God called him into a new adventure.
Chris is now the youth pastor to young people at Ironbridge Baptist Church in central Virginia. He is very serious about the Christian life, and his heart’s desire is to see God change the world that he lives in. Chris leads his youth ministry to become “world-changers” just as the disciples were used by God to change the world. He speaks at youth camps, retreats, conferences, public schools, churches, and more.
Most importantly, he is the husband of the most bestest, beautifulest, and most excellent wife in the whole wide world and is the father of four amazingly beautiful and awesome children.
